About us

The Finnish International Studies Association (FISA) aims at promoting multidisciplinary research, maintaining a network of active people, and providing a link between academics and practitioners within the field of international studies. It is a member of the Federation of Finnish Learned Societies. FISA has been active since 1993.
 

FISA’s most important activity is a national conference organised once in every three years. The purpose of the conference is to provide a comprehensive, timely and multidisciplinary overview of international relations research in Finland and gather together researchers at different career stages, policymakers and all those interested in the topic.

FISA also maintains an electronic mailing list and organises seminars twice a year.
